The State of Illinois provides the Emergency and Transitional Housing Program (ETHP) which is a coordinated system across the state to provide immediate and stabilizing housing services to homeless individuals and families with the intent of navigating a path to permanent housing. In the last budget negotiations (FY19), the state provided increased funding to this program to combat the increases in the homeless population. This is a critical program that provides a lifeline for many at-risk Illinoisans. For more information on this program and participating agencies click here.

Lincoln Park Community Shelter: The Interim Housing Community serves up to 35 guests each night year-round – 24 men and 11 women. In addition to meals and safe living space, the Interim Housing Community provides storage space, showers, and laundry facilities for guests. The average length of stay is three months, although there is no time limit as long as guests are making progress toward their goals.
